Insomnia:

Back

The 24 hour waking-sleeping-cycle of the body is known as the Circadian Rhythm (h). This rhythm or cycle acts as our internal body-clock; it is controlled, in part, by sunlight. The body benefits most from a consistent waking-sleeping routine. Although children, work and life in general do not always afford us a consistent sleeping routine, hypnosis can realign the mind and body to its natural Circadian Rhythm.

Sleep is vital and necessary for our physical health and mental wellbeing. It allows our bodies to generate new cells and repair itself after the stress and demands of the day. Continuous loss of sleep weakens the immune system making the body more susceptible to sickness. Sleep is also essential to our mental health. It gives the brain much needed rest. Concentration, memory and emotional and social functioning are all contingent on a deep, uninterrupted night’s sleep.
